Sri Lanka Tigers
In Montréal, we've been hearing from their cause a couple of times... they are more and more rallying in the streets of downtown to attract people's attention... and they got it! While I'm reading more about the situation and try to get an objective perspective, here's what I read as Shyla's comment on a blog:
"Abductions and killings have started in the East by the Sri lankan and Karuna forces. The International Community is preparing for the mission to conduct war Crimes, Genocide and Human Rights abuses in Sri lanka. Mahinda Rajapakse please get ready to come to Hague with your brothers and goons. It is sad that people who have no knowledge of the Eelam struggle and Sinhala Modayas and writing that has no sense. These SOB have no sense at all and think that the international Community is dumb. International community is collecting all criminal activities of the Regime and there is no escape for anyone. Those who have supported War Crimes and Genocide must be deported from the Western World to either Sri lanka or to Andaman."
Hopefully she's right and International Courts will be ready to prosecute when the time comes!
Un peu d'histoire...
Les premières femmes à avoir été admises au Barreau (en 1942) sont: Me Suzanne Raymond Fillion et Me Elizabeth Monk, qui fut également conseillère municipale de Montréal.

The truth about second year
I don't talk a lot about law school (yeah, right!), but I found an enlightening blog text that describes it pretty well (from my first year's perspective, mind you).
Here's the adress: http://www.lawboost.com/Resources/Articles/LawSchool-Second-YearTheWork.htm
That includes:
- "large amounts of reading" - that, I could have predicted.
- "Real Property is one of the most difficult law school courses": - thanks for the heads-up!
- "significant amount of out of class research": isn't that what law school is all about?
-"mistake free papers requires a lot of time editing.": - true that!
Can't wait for September!

"Apparently you morons didn’t understand me the first time. I CANNOT take time off from work. I’m not putting my familys wellbeing at stake to participate in this crap. I don’t believe in our “justice” system and I don’t want to have a goddamn thing to do with it. Jury duty is a complete waste of time. I would rather count the wrinkles on my dogs balls than sit on a jury. Get it through your thick skulls. Leave me the f–k alone."

droit administratif,
formation,
municipalité,
naissance,
ville

Quote of the week
About Admin law which can be very heavy, a guy on a forum answered the op:
"Baker it up man. Baker the s**t out of your exam. "
