Premier second cours

Pour la deuxième fois en deux ans je suis un cours de constitutionnel. Celui de l'UQAM que j'ai eu ce soir me fait penser que je suis bien contente d'avoir suivi ceux de l'UdM, beaucoup moins condensés. Le professeur a pourtant étudié à l'UdM, mais c'est qu'à l'UQAM ils font deux cours en un, donc forcément le prof survole la plupart de la matière... J'ai revu Denis, Cath, Nath et Hugo qui étaient présents à l'initiation... yay!

J-Day

Première journée d'école à l'UQAM, l'excitation est à son comble. Je n'ai pas assez d'informations pour aller acheter tous mes livres mais je vais préparer un max: ordinateur, fournitures, horaires etc. pour être prête pour les premiers cours de la session. J'ai reçu ma facture pour les frais de scolarité, là-dessus il n'y a rien à dire, l'information est toujours à temps! Je passe les matinées à mon travail pour le temps partiel et le week-end, c'est pour mes amies et ma famille! Quoi demander de plus? P.S. Les initiations étaient géniales ce week-end, je mettrais des photos en ligne, si elles ne sont pas trop compromettantes!

Partay!

Yay, ce week-end c'est l'intégration des nouveaux étudiants en droit! Je pars dans un chalet quelque part et on va faire la fiesta pour découvrir nos nouveaux camarades de classe! Vendredi c'est aussi la fête de mon papa, qui va avoir 35 ans (ahem!) et ça va être super de passer un peu de temps avec la familia! Jeudi (oui je vais à l'envers!) j'organise un petit 5 à 7 pour mes collègues du bureau. Un truc sympa quoi! Après c'est septembre, c'est l'hiver, c'est l'école qui reprend. Un autre rythme.

what now?

Michael Phelps has broken all the records possible at the 2008 Olympics with 8 golden medals. I haven't seen any of his performances, I admit, since I don't think it's gonna add value to my life. However, I am curious to know how do you live the rest of your life after being crowned the best swimmer of all times? Is it all downhill from there, is he going to play the "I'll beat-my-own-scores-game" or will he live a simple life with all the money he won and train new champions?

Health Plan

I decided to really get in shape and use the free time I have for my health and well-being. So I'm signing up for Yoga AND Pilates in automn + my usual set-ups + going to the UQAM gym to use their crosstrainer 1h 3x/week. My goal is to lose 20 pounds by winter (ok, next summer) I'll keep you posted on my belly evolution...

Social Surprise

I met with the student newspaper's team yesterday and they all had great ideas for our next publication. We reviewed the one going out next month and it's brilliant! I'm really happy to have met such a great team of dedicated students at l'UQAM! Each of them brings something special to the Affidavit and I'm glad they accepted me as one of their members. Fun times! I'll post the link to the finished version of our first paper for this year. It should be up by september.

Friday my lil sis and me are going to get some new stuff for my appartment, I'm going for the Zen look... I'm ready for a change! It's gonna kick ass... While I'm at it I might re-do my cubicle at work too, what the hell? Here are some pics to give you a visual...

Happy bee

Today I'm a happy happy bee. I just came back to work, asked for a raise and got it, after just 3 months working here. I love it here so I don't want to leave and a raise is the only way I can stay AND study law. So anyway... I also Finally have my course schedule which looks a bit weird but I guess I'm late so I'm happy I even get classes! I have Obligations 1 at 18h, Constitutionnel 1 late too, droit social et droit judiciaire sont dans la journée et droit pénal est aussi le soir... Plus de temps pour travailler dans la journée.... Les choses commencent tranquillement à se mettre en place avant la rentrée. Maintenant il ne me reste plus qu'à acheter mes notes de cours, mes recueils et mes fournitures. Je serais fin prête. Je vais garder un budget pour l'alcool car j'ai entendu qu'à l'UQAM on sait faire le party, et mes initiations sont bientot!!

Plan pré-rentrée

Les cours commencent le 25 à l'UQAM et je n'ai toujours pas fait mon choix de cours (le registrariat est ouvert environ 2h par semaine... ;) alors disons que c'est une priorité pour cette semaine. Je dois voir mes fréros aussi, ça fait un bail! Rien n'est plus important que la famille... J'ai aussi très envie de refaire mon salon: Sabine et moi on voit un décor Zen avec mur de bambou et objets japonais... besoin de changement dans mon environnement ASAP! Pendant mon voyage je suis retombée en amour avec la musique alors sur ma liste de chose à acheter il y a un i-Phone!! Phone + i-pod+ appareil photo et memoire vive! Seulement 200$! (avec un plan de 5 ans à 100$ par mois!!...) Je passe le week-end dans un chalet avec des amis et ca sent le fun a 100 km a la ronde!! woohoo, un peu de party avant la fin de l'été!

I'm back bitches!

I've come back from the motherland three days ago I can finally say I'm happy to be home! Although it's been an amazing trip to Israel for 10 days, I could not help but miss Montreal, the people, the rhythm. I've discovered a lot of great places there: Tel-Aviv (the beach!), Jerusalem, Jaffa and the desert. My favorite part was sleeping in the Bedouins tents in the middle of the desert (although I did not sleep a lot, thanks to our fun partying American friends ;)! I have a couple of pictures to share so... enjoy!
